Instagram Update: Instagram started labeling AI creators, Meta is bringing new feature
Instagram Update: Social media platform Instagram is now taking a new step to recognize the rapidly growing AI-generated content. The company is testing a new ‘AI Creator’ label to help users, with the help of which users will be able to easily understand which content has been created by humans and which has been created with the help of AI. Instagram says that the purpose of this feature is to give more transparency to people, not to stop AI content.

There is a flood of AI generated content and online AI generated posts on social media, due to which it is becoming difficult to identify which content is created by humans and which by AI. For example, when we see an anime, sketch or artwork on our feed, the first question that comes to our mind is whether it was created by AI. These art forms, once created entirely by humans, are now increasingly being created by AI. Now, it looks like Instagram is trying to address this concern.
The Meta-owned platform has started testing a new “AI creator” label for accounts that regularly share AI-generated content. With this move, the company does not aim to censor things made from AI. Instead, the company seems to believe that AI can be a useful tool — one that helps visualize human thoughts — while also promoting greater transparency for users.
With this thinking, Instagram has started the label ‘AI Creator’. This feature is currently in the testing phase and has been given to limited users. It can be extended to more people in the coming weeks. The special thing is that this feature will be completely optional, that is, users can put this label on their account only if they wish.
