The Supreme Court clearly said that if this matter continues in the courts like this, it may take not only years but decades to resolve it. In such a situation, the court wants all the family members to find a solution through dialogue and mutual consent. The special thing is that all the parties in the family have given their consent for this process of mediation.

During the hearing, the court gave strict instructions to all the parties that now no one will make statements in the media regarding this matter nor will they post any post related to the dispute on social media. The court has fixed the next hearing of the case in August.

Now know the whole matter:-

Actually, this whole controversy started after the death of Sanjay Kapoor regarding his properties, family trust and inheritance. Sanjay Kapoor’s mother Rani Kapoor challenged the family trust itself by filing a petition in the Supreme Court. He alleges that the trust was created without his knowledge and permission and through this an attempt was made to gain control over the family properties.

Rani Kapoor also demanded from the court that the sale or transfer of any property of the family be banned till the final decision is taken. She claims that she is the sole legal heir of her late husband Dr. Surinder Kapoor’s property and in the year 2017, the properties were allegedly transferred to the trust through several suspicious transactions.

In this case, the name of Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Priya Kapoor has also been continuously coming up. Before this the Supreme Court has issued notice to him. The names of actress Karisma Kapoor and her children Samaira Kapoor and Kiaan Kapoor have also been added to this controversy. Karisma Kapoor had presented the inheritance claim in the court on behalf of her children.

Rani Kapoor had made serious allegations saying that when she was suffering from health problems, she was made to sign many documents. He alleges that some documents were blank and were made to be signed without giving complete information. He accused his son Sanjay Kapoor and daughter-in-law Priya Kapoor of taking advantage of his illness to transfer property.

However, Priya Kapoor has completely rejected all these allegations. He says that some family members are deliberately trying to tarnish his image. He has also filed a defamation case regarding this. At present, all eyes are on whether this high-profile family dispute can be resolved with the mediation of former CJI Chandrachud.
