This negligence may cost heavily to Yashasvi and Shefali, matter reached BCCI and ICC

Delhi: Indian team’s star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently participating in the 19th season of IPL, in which he is representing Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, a bad news has come out for Jaiswal. Actually, Jaiswal may be in trouble. India’s Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has sent him a notice because last year Jaiswal was not present for the dope test at the scheduled time. Indian female cricketer Shefali Verma has also received a notice under the same case.

Jaiswal and Shefali received notice from NADA

Let us tell you that both these players are included in a special list of NADA, according to the rules of which they have to give information about their location every day, so that the officials can come suddenly and take their test at any time, but when the team reached for the test, both of them were not found there nor did they tell any reason behind it.

This is considered the first major lapse of rules. In simple words, it is like a warning for them, because if three such mistakes are made within a year, then the player can also be banned.

According to news agency PTI, sources have said that notices have been sent to Jaiswal and Shefali in this matter. Besides, this information has also been given to the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the International Cricket Council.

What action can be taken against players for missing dope test?

If a player misses a dope test once, it is seen as a warning, but if a player makes such a mistake three times within a certain period of time, it is considered a violation of doping rules and can also be banned.

It is noteworthy that BCCI has also accepted the fact of receiving notice from NADA and said that they will investigate the matter. Giving information, a source in the board said that they have received information about this and they will find out how this mistake happened. Also, the board has assured that they will take necessary action, so that such mistake does not happen again in future.

This matter is also in discussion because cricket is going to return in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, due to which it has become even more important to follow strict doping rules.

These Indian players are also included in NADA’s list

At present, 13 players of Team India are included in this special list of NADA, which also includes big names like Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant. All these players have to constantly update their location information.
