West bengal: As soon as he took command as the new Chief Minister of West Bengal, Subhendu Adhikari is seen in full action mode. Administrative activism and big meeting on Monday
To give more speed to the administrative machinery, the Chief Minister is going to hold a big meeting in Nabanna on Monday evening at 5 pm. All the DGs, CPs and SPs of the districts will attend this meeting. In this first official meeting with the police department, a strategy will be prepared on serious issues like preventing post-poll violence and ensuring the safety of women. According to indications from the Chief Minister’s Office, the new government is in no mood to tolerate any negligence in safety standards.
West bengal: Instructions on public schemes and secretariat
During the discussion with the officials, the Chief Minister also took information about the public welfare schemes being run by the previous government. He has given clear instructions to the Chief Secretary that no scheme related to the benefit of the common people should be stopped and their benefits should continue to be available to the public. Along with this, he also reviewed the repair work of the Writers Building, which is planned to be used again as the State Secretariat in future. To streamline the administration, the CM has given place to experienced faces in his team.
New team and important appointments
West bengal: To ensure smooth functioning of the government, retired IAS officer Subrata Gupta has been appointed advisor to the Chief Minister. Subrata Gupta has long experience in administration, which the new government will benefit from. At the same time, Shantanu Bala, a flamboyant IAS officer of 2017 batch, has been made the private secretary of the Chief Minister. Earlier, Shantanu was serving as ADM in South 24 Parganas.
