This action was taken at his house in Sector-2 on Saturday morning, where the ED team reached with several vehicles. It is being told that this is the second time within a month that the investigating agency has raided his premises.

After this action, political tension has increased in the state and sharp statements have started between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Political temperature rises again due to ED raid

According to reports, even before this, ED raid was conducted at Sanjeev Arora’s Ludhiana residence. Due to the ongoing investigation, allegations and counter-allegations have intensified between the opposition and the ruling party. The Punjab government says that this action is an attempt to create political pressure, while no official detailed statement has come out from the investigating agency so far.

Sharp attack by CM Bhagwant Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reacted strongly to this action. He issued a statement on social media and made serious allegations against the Central Government and BJP. The Chief Minister said that pressure is being put on Punjab repeatedly through agencies, but the state will not succumb to any kind of political pressure. Referring to the historical and cultural context, he said that the land of Punjab has always been a symbol of struggle and self-respect.

Bhagwant Mann also alleged that the action of ED and other agencies increases before the elections, which affects the political environment. The Chief Minister targeted the Central Government and said that injustice is being done to Punjab and efforts are being made to weaken the institutions of the state. He also said that the people of Punjab will respond to such actions in a democratic manner.

The AAP leadership says that agencies like ED are being used to suppress political opponents, while the government claims that the investigation is completely within the ambit of law.

Arvind Kejriwal’s statement

Arvind Kejriwal also reacted to this matter and made serious allegations against the Central Government. He said that in recent years, Punjab is being targeted and pressure politics is being carried out continuously against the state.
