This study was conducted at the University of Warwick. According to experts, one spoonful of sugar improves the mood of people above 65 years of age and also improves their memory. Researchers believe that this study may be useful for the elderly who are trying to increase their brain function.

Some elderly people were included in the research, who were given glucose mixed drink. After this they were asked to perform a memory task. The results of the study showed that the elderly who consumed the glucose drink had improved memory, better mood and increased ability to concentrate.
