The Meteorological Department has issued a major alert for May 10 regarding heavy rains, strong storms and thunderstorms in many states of North India and Eastern India. Strong winds with a speed of 80 to 85 kilometers per hour are expected in many areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of rain and storm may continue in different parts of the country for the next few days. Especially in 13 states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan, people have been advised to remain alert.
Impact may be more visible in Eastern India
According to meteorologists, a major change is being seen in the weather due to the cyclonic circulation formed in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and surrounding areas. Cyclonic activities are also active over eastern Rajasthan. Due to this, a situation of strong storm, thunder and heavy rain may occur in many states. Farmers have been advised to take special precautions as there is a possibility of damage to crops due to strong winds and rain.
Rain and storm alert in many districts of UP
Yellow alert has been issued in many districts of UP regarding rain and strong storm. Winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in many districts including Aligarh, Meerut, Noida, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Gonda and Maharajganj.
There is a possibility of bad weather in Bihar also
An alert of rain and storm has been issued in many districts of Bihar from 10 to 15 May. There may be rain with strong winds in many areas including Patna, Gaya, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj. The Meteorological Department has advised people to stay away from open places during bad weather.
Warning in Uttarakhand and Himachal
Bad weather is also expected in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorm in areas like Dehradun, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Shimla, Kullu and Chamba. In many areas, winds can blow at speeds of more than 60 kilometers per hour.
Alert in Punjab and Rajasthan also
Warning of moderate to heavy rain has been issued in many districts of Punjab. At the same time, the effect of rain and strong winds can be seen in some districts of Rajasthan. However, there is a possibility of heat wave in some parts of Western Rajasthan and Gujarat in the coming days.
