Shaheed Memorial Park will get a tourist look after beautification worth Rs 53.80 lakh: Mayor

Mayor Garima Devi Sikariya said that the tender for the plan passed by the Municipal Corporation Board for the beautification of the historical heritage Martyr Memorial Park of Bettiah Municipal Corporation at the district headquarters has been issued. Mayor Mrs. Sikariya said that on the basis of her ambitious proposal, the tender for this scheme passed by the Municipal Corporation Board has also been issued by Municipal Commissioner Shivakshi Dixit. On the basis of which, along with planting soft grass, trees and plants will also be planted in the historical Shaheed Park-complex.
The Mayor said that according to the proposal passed for his ambitious plan, five swings, a gazebo and a fish fountain will be installed in the Shaheed Memorial Park complex. Along with this, this historical heritage park will be given a tourist look with the construction of open gym, 40 dustbins for cleanliness management, more than a dozen rest benches, guard room and ticket house with good lighting, summersable boring, separate toilets for men and women.
Quoting the tender issued by Municipal Commissioner Shivakshi Dixit, the Mayor said that till June 8, 2026, interested and eligible contractors will be able to stake their claim online through e-tendering method. The Mayor also said that even before this new scheme in Dharohar Shaheed Park of the District Headquarters, the Municipal Corporation Administration had already completed the plans for beautification of the original memorial including pathways, benches, umbrella etc.
