Hyderabad: Vijay Deverakonda celebrated his 37th birthday with a special surprise for fans as the makers of Ranabaali released an action-packed behind-the-scenes video showcasing the actor learning horse riding for the film.
The BTS clip quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising Vijay’s dedication and transformation for his role in the much-awaited period drama.
The video captured the actor’s training journey from struggling to balance on the horse and falling during practice sessions to eventually mastering the skill with confidence.
Vijay trains intensely for warrior role
The newly released clip showed Vijay undergoing rigorous horse-riding training as part of preparations for his character in Ranabaali.
In the beginning, the actor appeared nervous while trying to control the horse and even fell during one training session.
However, Vijay continued practising despite the setbacks and gradually became comfortable riding confidently.
Towards the end of the video, he was seen fully transformed into his warrior avatar, impressing fans with his commitment to the physically demanding role.
Sharing the BTS footage online, Mythri Movie Makers referred to Vijay as their “stallion” and teased audiences by calling the project “peak VD in a peak cinema”.
Ranabaali raises anticipation among fans
The film has already generated massive buzz among movie lovers as it marks Vijay Deverakonda’s first on-screen collaboration with wife Rashmika Mandanna after their wedding earlier this year.
Rashmika reportedly plays the role of Jayamma in the film, while Vijay essays the titular character.
Actor Arnold will portray Sir Theodore Hector.
Set during the period of British rule and famine in Rayalaseema, Ranabaali is expected to blend action, history and emotional storytelling.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release on September 11.
