UAE Schools Reopen Offline Classes: There is a relief news for students and parents living in United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE Ministry of Education has announced that offline learning will resume in all government and private schools in the country from Monday, May 11, 2026. For the last one week, in view of the threat of regional security and missile attacks, studies were being conducted online as a precautionary measure, but now it has been decided to reopen the schools once the situation becomes normal.
Classes will be normal from May 11
According to the official statement issued by the Ministry of Education, all students, teachers and staff from nursery schools to higher educational institutions will now be able to go to the campus normally. The Ministry has said that this arrangement has been made to run the educational programs smoothly. All schools have been instructed to ensure strict safety protocols so that students and parents do not face any inconvenience or fear.
Why were schools closed last week?
Actually, due to increasing tension in the Gulf region UAE Administration Had decided to close the schools as a precautionary measure. The main reason for this was the horrific attack that took place on May 4, when a total of 15 missiles, including 12 ballistic and 3 cruise missiles, were fired from Iran towards the UAE. It is noteworthy that a ceasefire was implemented between America and Iran in April and this missile attack is being considered as the first major violation after that agreement.
Air defense system foiled the attacks
UAE security agencies have informed that most of the missiles were air defense system It was shot down in the air itself, due to which there was no major loss of life or property. Despite this, the government had implemented temporary protocols for schools, offices and public institutions, giving priority to safety.
The tension has still not subsided completely. Recently, on Sunday, May 10, two drones were seen in the sky of UAE, which were successfully destroyed by the defense system. According to the Defense Ministry, there have been no casualties from these attacks in the last few hours. However, a total of two soldiers have been martyred since the beginning of the tension and a Moroccan civilian working with the army has also died.

Ministry expressed confidence on security
The Education Ministry has claimed that at present the situation is completely under control and everything has been arranged due to better coordination between the security agencies. The Ministry believes that now there is no danger in running the schools normally. Parents have been advised to follow the safety instructions issued by the school and not pay attention to any rumours.
