Big update for Aprilia fans! ‘Ya’ 3 scooters discontinued in India; Company focus on SR 175

Aprilia SR 175: Italian motorcycle and scooter Manufacturer Aprilia has officially decided to discontinue three of its scooters in India. Which includes the scooters SXR 125, SXR 160 and SR 160. Neither the company nor its parent company Piaggio India has made any official announcement regarding this yet. But all these three models are now out of Aprilia’s lineup. The company is yet to announce any new scooters to replace the SXR models. But instead of the SR 160, now the SR 175 scooter has been launched as an option for the customers.

SXR 125 and SXR 160 models discontinued
The company has dropped the SXR 125, SXR 160 and SR 160 from the lineup. To replace SR 160, the company has come up with SR 175. However, no new models have been launched yet to replace the SXR 125 and SXR 160 maxi-scooters. Both these models have been completely dropped from Aprilia’s Indian platform. SXR models were known for their large body and upright seating arrangement. It featured 12-inch wheels, while the SR line saw 14-inch wheels. SR 175 will replace SR 160
Scooter manufacturer Aprilia has dropped the SR 160 from its lineup. Now the company has come up with SR 175 to replace this scooter. It features a new 174.7cc air-cooled engine. This engine generates 12.9hp of power and 14.14nm of torque, which is more than the old SR 160. The SR 175 features a full-color TFT display. Which is similar to the Aprilia 457 series. The look and style of the new scooter has been kept similar to the old model. It will get the same familiar LED headlights and taillights.

Price details
Currently, Aprilia’s scooter range in India is mainly based on the SR 125 and SR 175. The SR 125 is priced around Rs 1.14 lakh ex-showroom, while the SR 175 is priced around Rs 1.21 lakh ex-showroom.
