Ryan Reynolds honours Blake Lively with sweet Mother’s Day post after legal settlement

Ryan Reynolds gushed over his wife of 13 years, Blake Lively, and her optimistic outlook on life while celebrating Mother’s Day after the resolution of her legal dispute with Justin Baldoni.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, May 10, the 49-year-old actor shared a heartfelt tribute on his Instagram Stories, praising Blake Lively for being a constant source of comfort and happiness for him and their four children: James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Olin, 3.

“I appreciate this mother beyond measure. She is kind. She is the absolute love of my life – and to our four little kids, she’s the life of their love,” Reynolds wrote as he praised Lively’s strength and courage.

His appreciation for the Gossip Girl alum comes nearly a week after she and Justin Baldoni settled their year-and-a-half-long legal dispute outside of court ahead of their May 18 trial date.

The settlement was announced in a joint statement by Lively’s attorneys, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, along with the lawyers representing the Jane the Virgin actor’s Wayfarer Studios, Bryan Freedman and Ellyn Garofalo.

“The end product — the movie It Ends With Us — is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors — and all survivors — is a goal that we stand behind,” the statement read.

It continued, “We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard. We remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments.”

“It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online,” the statement concluded.

The legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni began in December 2024, four months after the release of their film It Ends With Us.
