IPL 2026: RCB head coach Andy Flower fined, had to argue with the umpire.
New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) head coach Andy Flower has been fined for violating the code of conduct during the exciting match played against Mumbai Indians on Sunday in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
According to the statement issued by the IPL on Monday, Andy Flower violated Level-1 of the code of conduct made for players and team officials. For this reason, he has been fined 15 percent of the match fee.
Flower was accused of violating Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which deals with the use of offensive or indecent language during a match. The incident occurred during 17.2 overs of the match, when Andy Flower was seen interacting aggressively with the fourth umpire.
Match referee Amit Sharma found Andy Flower guilty after hearing the case. The RCB head coach admitted his mistake and accepted the fine imposed on him.
It is noteworthy that in this match played in Raipur, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets on the last ball and eliminated them from the playoff race. The end of the match was very tense, during which the pressure and emotions were clearly visible on the field.
