New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s big statement came on Sunday amid the ongoing tension in West Asia. He told the countrymen to use diesel and petrol only as per need. Now the statement of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has come. The ministry said that the global energy supply chain has been affected and huge fluctuations are being seen in oil prices in the international market. Despite this there is no shortage of fuel in the country. The government has appealed to the people to use public transport, carpooling and electric vehicles.

Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Petroleum Ministry, held a press conference. During this, he said, the Prime Minister has urged the countrymen to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel. Use metro and public transport wherever possible. People should adopt carpooling and give priority to railways for freight transportation. Along with this, give priority to electric vehicles. He said that, if every person in the country tries to save energy then the economic pressure on the country will be reduced significantly.
Sujata Sharma said that due to the West Asia crisis, the energy supply chain has been affected all over the world. There remains instability in prices in the international market. However, the Government of India has taken many effective steps in time so that the common people do not have to face any kind of problem. He said that crude oil reserves are available in sufficient quantity in the country and all the refineries are working at full capacity. There is no shortage of fuel at any petrol pump in the country and the supply at LPG agencies also remains normal.
