Hapur: Taking a big step towards digitalizing revenue services, the Uttar Pradesh government has started the facility of making certified copies of Khatauni available online. Under the new system, people will no longer have to make rounds of the tehsil. Citizens will be able to apply through the portal sitting at home and download the certified copy immediately after making digital payment.
Now not Tehsil, Khatauni record will be available through online portal
The process of obtaining documents related to land in Uttar Pradesh has now become much easier than before. The state government has made the certified copy of Khatauni completely online. After this, now citizens will be able to apply through internet sitting at home and download the certified copy of their land.
With this new system, people will get relief from the troubles like visiting tehsil offices, standing in long queues and waiting for documents. This facility is considered very useful especially for the people of rural areas.
Copy will be downloaded immediately after digital payment
According to officials, citizens can apply online by visiting the official portal of the Revenue Department. During the application process, important information like district, tehsil, village and gata number will have to be filled.
After this the prescribed fee will have to be paid digitally. Once the payment is successful, the certified copy of Khatauni will be available for download. This service will be operational 24 hours, so that people will be able to get documents at any time as per their convenience.
Government’s focus on transparency and easy services
SDM Shriram Yadav said that with the new digital system, the services of the Revenue Department will be more transparent and simpler. This is also expected to reduce complaints of corruption and unnecessary delays.
He said that citizens can easily avail this service through upbhulekh.gov.in and bor.up.gov.in portal. The aim of the government is to provide convenience to people at home by making more and more services online.
Rural areas will get the most benefit
Experts believe that farmers and land owners in rural areas will get the biggest benefit from the online Khatauni facility. Earlier, to get the documents issued, one had to visit the tehsil many times, which was a waste of both time and money.
Now with the start of the digital process, it will be easier to obtain land related records and transparency in government work will also increase.
