PM Modi will visit five countries, from UAE to Norway; There will be discussion on these important issues
PM Modi Five Nation Tour India-Nordic Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on an important diplomatic tour of five countries, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy from May 15 to 20. According to information released by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), during this six-day visit, PM Modi will participate in bilateral meetings focusing on key areas like trade, investment, energy cooperation, defence, technology and green transition.
The journey will start from UAE
The Prime Minister will first visit the UAE during his foreign tour starting on May 15, where he will discuss with the President energy, trade and the interests of the Indian community living there. Shortly thereafter, he will visit the Netherlands from 15 to 17 May, where he will meet with the King and Prime Minister to discuss ways to boost bilateral cooperation on cutting-edge and critical technology topics such as semiconductors, green hydrogen and water management.
What will happen in Sweden?
On 17th and 18th May PM Modi Will visit Gothenburg, Sweden, where he will discuss important issues like Artificial Intelligence (AI), new technologies and strong supply chains with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson. During his visit, he will meet with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, at the ‘European Round Table for Industry’ Will also address, which will further strengthen India-Europe relations in the field of trade and technology.
Norway and India-Nordic Summit
A historic stop of the visit will be Norway, where an Indian Prime Minister is visiting after four decades. He will participate in the 3rd India-Nordic Summit in Oslo from 18 to 19 May. The conference will bring together leaders from Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Sweden to discuss renewable energy, space research and cooperation in the Arctic region.
