‘Any daring move…’, Pak Army Chief Munir threatens India on ‘Sindoor’ anniversary
Any bold move against Pakistan in the future would pose a dire threat to New Delhi. Pakistan Commander-in-Chief Asim Munir threatened India in this language on the anniversary of Operation Sindoor.
Munir attended a function at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday. Speaking there, he said, “Our enemies should remember that if any misdeeds are attempted against Pakistan in the future, the impact of the war will not be limited, but will be far-reaching, dangerous, far-reaching and painful. The consequences will be dire, especially for New Delhi.” Munir alleged that during last year’s military conflict, India made a failed attempt to test our resolve by violating Pakistan’s sovereignty and airspace. He claimed that Islamabad had used ‘full military force’ in response. He further claimed that the conflict between the two nuclear powers was not a mere war but was actually a struggle between two ideologies, in which Allah won. Lies have been defeated.”
Incidentally, on April 22, four militants of Lashkar’s shadow organization TRF killed 26 unarmed people in Pahalgaon. They were led by a local militant from Kashmir. In response to this attack, India launched a morning-night operation on May 7. Nine militant bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were destroyed. Pakistan then launched attacks targeting populated areas and army bases in states bordering India. India countered that attack as well as retaliated. At least 11 air bases of Pakistan were destroyed. More than 100 militants and 35-40 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the Indian army operation. Finally, New Delhi agreed to a ceasefire at Islamabad’s request.
