Asian Boxing Championships: Strength of India’s daughters in Under-17, 8 boxers in the final, 4 won bronze

India Boxing Team: This time in the Asia Boxing Under-17 Championship 2026, the glory of India’s daughters has been seen, they have continued their brilliant performance in it. After the semi-finals held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 8 boxers reached the finals, while 4 boxers won bronze medals.

On one hand, in the 46 kg category, Rakhi registered a resounding win against China’s Yating Zhang by Referee Stop Contest (RSC) in the third round. Whereas, in the 48 kg category, Khushi Chand achieved a one-sided 5:0 victory over Mongolia’s Mungunjul Altamgadasa. In the 52 kg category, Mamta Muralidhar Raut lost 0:5 to China’s Yaxin Qiu, while Lakshmi Manjunath Lamani (54 kg) suffered a 1:4 defeat at the hands of Uzbekistan’s Kumariniso Muhammadova.

Navya entered the finals

In the 57 kg category, Navya reached the finals after registering a victory over RSC in the second round against Mongolia’s Dagima Chulutumur. In the 60 kg category, Ishika lost a tough match 2:3 against Kazakhstan’s Balym Gabitkiji. In the 63 kg category, Diya had a one-sided victory over Jia-En Song of Chinese Taipei from RSC in the first round.

In the 66 kg category, Harnoor Kaur suffered a 0:5 defeat against Kazakhstan’s Ayaulim Ospanova. In the 70 kg category, Himanshi registered a first round win against Jordan’s Jude Habi from RSC. In the 75 kg category, Jyoti advanced against Chinese Taipei’s Cheng-Hui Xu in the first round with a win over RSC. In 80 kg category, Vanshika Uzbekistan Ferrujabonu won 4:1 over Kamolova. In the 80+ kg category, Gursirat Kaur made it to the finals with a first-round win against Chinese Taipei’s Xin-Ying Huang from RSC.

On the other hand, Indian boys in Under-15 semi final Had a tremendous performance. Six boxers reached the finals and seven boxers won bronze. In the 33 kg category, Yash Kumar made it to the finals with an impressive 5:0 win over UAE’s Kian Iqbal. Sastha Vasant Ashok Kumar (37 kg) won by referee decision in the second round against Ajiretali Sanzharbekov of Kyrgyzstan.
