Now PM Modi gave a big message in the Sardar Dham program – Emphasis on Swadeshi and public participation along with frugality.

Vadodara, 11 May. Just 24 hours ago, after appealing to the countrymen to adopt ‘Work from Home’ (WFH), save petrol and diesel and not buy gold for a year in a rally in Hyderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave a big message through the Sardar Dham program organized in his home state on Monday night and stressed the need for public participation along with education, women empowerment, self-reliant India, use of indigenous products and thrift in times of national challenges.

On the occasion of inauguration and foundation stone laying of various projects of Sardar Dham, PM Modi started the program by greeting all the guests present on the stage including Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, Union Minister Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya, Sardar Dham Chairman Gagji Bhai Sutaria. He said that this day is no less than a holy festival because on one hand Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated to mark the completion of 75 years of the consecration of Somnath Temple in Prabhas Patan, while on the other hand important projects of Sardar Dham are being inaugurated in Vadodara.

Emphasis on education and future of youth

Prime Minister Modi said that Dr. Dushyant and Daksha Patel Complex, Shikshan Sahay Yojana and new projects will prove to be effective projects for nation building in the times to come. He said that these institutes will act as ‘career launching pads’ for the youth.

He said that the hostels and educational institutions run by Sardar Dham are giving a new direction to the future of thousands of youth, especially daughters. Praising the institutions of Sardar Dham in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Bhuj, Mehsana and Delhi, he said that the foundation stone of a new hostel for one thousand daughters has also been performed in Nikol.

Appreciation of Gujarat model and political stability

The Prime Minister noted the BJP’s success in Gujarat civic and panchayat elections along with the election results of Bengal, Assam and Puducherry. He said that the people of Gujarat have always given importance to political stability and this stability accelerates the pace of economic development. He said that Gujarat had understood long ago that a stable government is the basis of development and its impact is clearly visible in the state’s progress and election results.

Discussion on national education policy and skill development

PM Modi said that the new National Education Policy has been prepared according to the needs of the youth. He said that now discrimination on the basis of language is being eliminated and education is not limited to degrees only. He said that skill development, innovation, research and apprenticeship are being promoted so that the youth can be prepared as per the needs of employment and industries. This will provide the country with a large skilled workforce in the future and strengthen the manufacturing sector.

Focus on startup and women empowerment

The Prime Minister said that the youth of Gujarat have natural potential for entrepreneurship and the Startup India Mission is making their dreams come true. He said that big startups are emerging even from small towns and participation of women is continuously increasing.

Describing women empowerment as the basis of progress of the society, he said that Gujarat had taken strong steps in this direction only two decades ago. Referring to Jan Dhan Account, Ujjwala Yojana, Tap Water, Mudra Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and Matru Vandana Yojana, he said that these schemes have given new strength to women. He said that today women are becoming fighter pilots and are taking training at the National Defense Academy. He also mentioned the efforts to increase women’s participation in politics.

Gujarat described as the center of future technology

The Prime Minister said that Gujarat is a state that quickly recognizes the direction of time and today is rapidly moving forward in the technologies of the future. He mentioned Gujarat’s growing role in sectors like semiconductor, aerospace, green energy and advanced engineering.

He said that Made-in-India semiconductors are being built in Sanand while new projects are also progressing rapidly in Dholera and Surat. Describing Vadodara as a manufacturing hub, he said that the metro coaches made here are being exported to other countries and the city is also creating a new identity in the aerospace sector.

Appeal for public participation amid global crisis

Referring to the Corona epidemic, global economic challenges and increasing tension in West Asia, PM Modi said that these circumstances are affecting the entire world. He said that the government is making continuous efforts to ensure minimum impact on common citizens, but in such times, public participation is very important.

He appealed to people to reduce petrol and diesel consumption, use metro and public transport more, adopt car pooling and promote virtual meetings. He also urged schools to consider arranging online classes for some time.

The Prime Minister said that a large part of the country’s foreign exchange is spent on the import of crude oil, edible oil and gold. He appealed to the people to exercise restraint and make ‘Vocal for Local’ a mass movement. He urged farmers to adopt natural farming, reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and promote solar pumps. He also appealed to the people to give priority to the tourist places of India instead of holidaying abroad and destination wedding.

PM Modi said that the Statue of Unity is a symbol of the country’s pride and people should be inspired to visit there more and more. He also urged the Patidar community to develop Ekta Nagar as a destination wedding.

Expressed gratitude on ‘Sardar Gaurav Ratna’ honor

Expressing his gratitude on the “Sardar Gaurav Ratna” award received in the program, the Prime Minister said that the honor associated with the name of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel further increases the responsibility. He said that he will continue to work with full strength to fulfill the dreams of Sardar Patel. He said that getting respect in the world is a different thing, but getting respect and blessings from one’s own people gives the greatest strength. He thanked Sardar Dham and all the people of the society.
