It is noteworthy that Kumar Vishwas had contested against Rahul Gandhi from Amethi seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In that election he had to face a crushing defeat at the hands of Rahul.

BJP’s spectacular victory in Bengal

BJP has achieved a spectacular victory in the Bengal Assembly elections. The party registered a big victory on 207 seats in the 294-member assembly. Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress (TMC) was reduced to only 80 seats. At the same time, the Congress party had to be satisfied with only two seats. During the entire election campaign, Congress, along with targeting BJP, was also a constant attacker on TMC.
