Jacqueline Fernandez ED Case: Enforcement Directorate (ED), while filing its reply in Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Monday, opposed the petition of Jacqueline Fernandez, in which she had sought permission to become a government witness in the case. Let us tell you that the actress had applied to become a government witness in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case related to Sukesh Chandrashekhar. ED said that
The actress was fully aware of Sukesh’s criminal history, yet she chose to continue her relationship with him.

What did ED say before the court?

ED opposed Jacqueline Fernandez’s petition. He said, ‘Jacqueline was well aware of the criminal history of the main accused Sukesh. Despite knowing his true identity and criminal background, they chose to maintain a relationship with him and benefit from him. Also used the ‘proceeds of crime’ for himself and his family members, which clearly shows willful disregard for the source of funds and active participation in the money laundering process.

What did the actress answer?

The actress has clearly denied all the allegations in the court and said that she had no knowledge of Sukesh’s criminal history. He said, ‘Sukesh played with my emotions and made my life hell.’ He further said that he misled me and damaged my career and livelihood. However, the ED had made him a co-accused in the chargesheet filed in August 2022.

Sukesh kept calling Jacqueline his girlfriend

Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is currently in jail in connection with several cases, has been continuously claiming himself to be the lover of the actress. The leaked photos show that the two knew each other well, but Jacqueline has said in the court that Sukesh misled her into believing that he was a legitimate businessman. Let us tell you that cases have been registered against Sukesh Chandrashekhar for allegedly defrauding the wives of former Ranbaxy promoters Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh of Rs 200 crore.
