NEET (UG) exam held on May 3 cancelled, exam will be held again, NTA announced
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the NEET (UG) 2026 examination held on May 3 has been cancelled. After the permission of the Central Government, it has been decided to cancel this examination and conduct the examination afresh. Earlier, questions were raised about the exam as about 130 out of 410 questions came from a guess paper. The candidates had raised the demand that this examination should be cancelled. The Central Government has also ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate this matter. NTA has also said that those whose exams are to be re-conducted will be given a refund of their fees.
The main reason for the cancellation of this examination is that the questions from the paper which appeared in the examination held on 3rd May were going viral since 1st May. There have been allegations of selling it for Rs 20 thousand to Rs 2 lakh. The surprising thing was that when the paper came in front of the students on 3rd May, 140 marks were exactly the same as those in that guess paper. Even the order of many questions was exactly as it appeared in the paper.

According to NTA, the new date of examination and date of release of admit card will be announced soon. Not only this, it has also been said that the investigation of this case is now being handed over to CBI and CBI will be given full assistance in this investigation.

There was an uproar since the exam
