Punjab becomes country’s number-1 state in primary and middle school education
Punjab Education Ranking: Punjab has achieved great achievements in the field of education and has left behind states like Kerala, Maharashtra and Delhi. According to the new report of NITI Aayog, Punjab has emerged as the best performing state in the country in primary and middle school education. The education reforms of the Bhagwant Mann government have been appreciated at the national level.
Punjab number-1 in basic education and digital facilities
According to the report, Punjab has got the first position in terms of basic education, digital infrastructure and school facilities. The state has also performed brilliantly in subjects like language and mathematics. There has been a large-scale improvement in the availability of smart classrooms, internet facilities and computers in government schools, the effect of which is now clearly visible in the national rankings.
Punjab Education Ranking: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann congratulated
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann issued a video message saying that the results of honest investment in education are now visible. He said the state government upgraded primary and middle schools, started smart classrooms and provided modern training to teachers. He said that due to these efforts, Punjab has today reached the forefront in the country in the field of education.
Punjab Education Ranking: Kerala also left behind in language and mathematics
Bhagwant Mann said that in the third class language examination, Punjab got 82 percent marks, while Kerala got 75 percent marks. Whereas in Class 3 Mathematics, Punjab scored 78 percent marks, while Kerala stood at 70 percent. Even in Class 9 Mathematics, Punjab left Kerala behind by scoring 52 percent marks.
Excellent performance in digital education also
The Chief Minister said that Punjab has left Haryana behind even in the field of digital education. In the case of smart classrooms, Punjab got 80.1 percent marks, while Haryana stood at 50.3 percent. In terms of internet facility in schools, Punjab was recorded at 88.9 percent and Haryana at 78.9 percent. Apart from this, Punjab has also reached almost 100 percent in terms of availability of electricity and computers in schools.
Credit given to teachers, students and parents
Punjab Education Ranking: Bhagwant Mann congratulated the teachers, students, parents and everyone associated with the education department for this achievement. He said that in the last four years, continuous work was done on teacher training, modern education system and smart classrooms, the result of which is now visible to the entire country. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that in the coming times, Punjab will move towards becoming number-1 in every field.
