When the video and the reality of the catch came to light, it was revealed that the ball on which Akshar Patel Had dropped the catch, actually it was a free hit. The DC bowler had bowled a no-ball before that. According to the rules, a catch on any free-hit ball is not valid. This was the reason why captain Akshar Patel did not show any interest in taking that catch.
