NEET-UG Paper Leak 2026 Arrests and Investigations
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a 30-year-old BAMS student, Shubham Khairnar, in Nashik for his alleged role in the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
Investigators revealed that Khairnar purchased a “guess paper” for ₹10 lakh from a Pune-based suspect and resold it for ₹15 lakh to a buyer in Haryana.
The arrest comes after the Centre ordered a nationwide probe into the scandal, which led to the cancellation of the NEET-UG exam across India. Four CBI teams were deployed to Nashik to take custody of the accused, signalling the seriousness of the investigation.
The case has sparked widespread outrage among students and parents, raising concerns about exam integrity and the growing menace of leaks through digital platforms.
Authorities are now tracking financial transactions and networks linked to the leak, suggesting a larger conspiracy at play.
