03 awareness vehicles were flagged off

Farmer Registry Awareness Campaign was formally launched today from Sanyukta Krishi Bhawan with the aim of directly connecting farmers with government schemes and giving them a unique digital identity. District Agriculture Officer Sarfaraz Asgar and Deputy Project Director Bharat Bhushan jointly flagged off the awareness vehicles.

This initiative has been started in the light of the efficient instructions of District Officer Taranjot Singh. On this occasion, the District Agriculture Officer said that a total of 3 awareness vehicles have been sent, which will go to every village in the three subdivision areas of the district to make the farmers aware and motivated about the process of Farmer Registry and its far-reaching benefits.

He told that the outline of this special campaign is as follows:

Campaign Duration: This special registration campaign will start from 12th May 2026 and will run till 30th June 2026.

Registration Facility: Registration facility is available completely free of cost at all CSC (Common Service Center) and Vasudha Centers.

Self Registration: Farmers can register their Farmer ID through Bihar Farmer Registry portal or by scanning the QR code given on the poster. Can make it yourself.

Documents required for registration

Farmers need to carry the following details while registering:

1. Aadhaar Card

2. Mobile number

3. Jamabandi in own name

Why is Farmer Registry important?

This digital identity will provide many important benefits to farmers:

It will be easy to avail benefits of all other government schemes including PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. There will be transparency in crop insurance and obtaining grant-in-aid on the basis of actual damage in case of crop loss. Same ID Through this, the benefits of all the services of the department will be accessible.
