Sony launches neck-worn cooler, will provide coolness for 10 hours on a single charge, know the price

Sony Reon Pocket Pro Plus: In the scorching heat, people often think that they wish there was such a small cooler, which can be easily carried with them anywhere. Now Sony has converted this idea into reality. The company has launched a special wearable cooler named ‘Reon Pocket Pro Plus’. It is completely different from a normal cooler or AC, because it is used by wearing it around the neck. This device helps in cooling the body, so that some relief can be felt even in extreme heat.

Is this cooler available in India?

• This new device of Sony is considered to be an upgraded version of the Pro model launched last year.
• It has better cooling and a new design than before.
• The company launched this type of product for the first time in the year 2019. However, Sony has not yet launched this gadget in India.
• It is believed that this device can be very useful for people in hotter countries like India.

How does the Reon Pocket Pro Plus cooler work?

• Reon Pocket Pro Plus uses ‘Peltier Effect’ technology to cool the body.
• It has a special metal plate attached to it, which rests on the back of the neck.
• When electricity is supplied, this plate cools down and directly provides coolness to the body.
• If understood in simple language, it works like a small electronic ice pack.
• It is charged from USB Type-C port.

One charge will last for 10 hours

A special exhaust vent is also provided in this device, which sends the hot air coming out of the body outside. A small fan is also present along with it, which maintains the correct flow of air. Users can control it through a mobile app, but it is also capable of working automatically. The company claims that this wearable cooler can last for about 10 hours on a single charge.

How much does Reon Pocket Pro Plus cooler cost?

Currently Reon Pocket Pro Plus is available only in the UK and some markets in Europe. Its price in UK has been kept at 199 pounds i.e. about 25 thousand rupees. Sony has not yet told when it will be launched in India and other countries.
