Marsh, who has been in supreme form in the tournament, took the Super Kings’ attack to the cleaners with his 38-ball 90 that had nine fours and seven towering sixes in pursuit of 188, hardly offering any respite. Josh Inglis also played an excellent supporting role in his 32-ball 36 and a stand of 135 only in 11.4 overs. Despite losing Marsh in an unfortunate fashion, the Super Giants were well in control of the contest. With 24 required off the final 24 deliveries, Nicholas Pooran battered four sixes off Anshul Kamboj’s bowling to seal a statement win and denting Super Kings’ playoff chances.
