Temperature will rise in Rajasthan next week, heat wave alert in eight districts
Jaipur. At present, the effect of heat remains normal in Rajasthan, but there are signs of rapid increase in temperature in the coming days. On Saturday, the maximum temperature was measured normal or slightly below normal in most of the districts of the state, which brought partial relief to the people. However, the effects of heat and heat wave continued in the districts of western Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department on Sunday issued a yellow alert of heat wave in eight districts and expressed the possibility of heat increasing further from next week.
On Saturday, the highest temperature was measured at 43.2 degrees Celsius in Phalodi, while the mercury reached 42.8 degrees in Barmer. In districts like Bikaner, Churu, Jaisalmer and Barmer, the temperature remained between 40 to 43 degrees. Whereas in Sikar, Hanumangarh, Jalore and Sirohi, some relief was felt as the temperature remained below 40 degrees. The temperature dropped due to strong winds in Sriganganagar.
There was intense heat in the capital Jaipur on Saturday and the maximum temperature reached 41.4 degrees Celsius. The night temperature also increased to 28.8 degrees. Due to the heat, tourism activities and local business were affected.
The maximum temperature in Ajmer was 40.9 degrees, where life was affected due to humidity and hot winds. Due to the scorching heat in the hospitals, patients and their families had to face problems.
Despite light clouds in Jodhpur, the humidity did not give respite to the people, whereas in Kota, people remained miserable due to hot winds and increasing humidity. There was relief from clouds and cool winds in the evening with a slight drop in temperature in Udaipur. Due to strong sunlight and hot winds in Alwar the temperature reached 43 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain for the next four days. The weather will remain dry across the state and the effect of heatwave may increase with the increase in temperature.
