He urinated inside the lift itself.” When the woman questions him, “Why did you do it, uncle?”, the elderly man replies, “It was a mistake, sorry.” After this video went viral, people on social media called it extremely shameful and unacceptable.
Many users said that such actions in public places are absolutely wrong. At the same time, some people also said that with increasing age, people often have to face medical problems and in such situations, they should not travel alone. DMRC fined elderly person
Delhi Police has also reacted on the matter. The official Instagram handle of Delhi Police informed that the incident was investigated by DCP Metro. According to the report, this incident occurred on May 15, 2026 at around 9:40 pm. According to police, the elderly man faced a medical emergency while changing the metro at Kalkaji station.
He tried to find a toilet nearby, but when he could not control the situation, he urinated in a bottle in the lift. After this, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation i.e. DMRC fined the person under Section 59 of the DMRC Act for creating nuisance. After the incident, discussion has once again started regarding responsible behavior in public places.
