Yogi government’s masterstroke: New facilities will start in every village, good news for the people

Lucknow. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big step to strengthen the rural economy and increase the income of farmers. With the aim of making the state the country’s leading state in milk production, the government has implemented a massive master plan in the dairy sector. The biggest benefit of this scheme is going to be given to the farmers, women and youth living in villages, who will now get new opportunities for employment and self-employment.

This new strategy of the government has been named ‘Operation-4’. Under this, four big schemes have been launched simultaneously, so that animal husbandry and dairy business can be taken to every village. These schemes include Chief Minister Swadeshi Cow Promotion Scheme, Chief Minister Progressive Animal Husbandry Promotion Scheme, Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana and Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana.

Big relief to farmers with subsidy up to 50 percent

Yogi government has prepared this scheme in such a way that even small and medium farmers can easily start dairy business. The government is giving up to 50 percent subsidy on setting up dairy units. Under the scheme, only 15 percent of the amount will have to be invested by the beneficiary, while 35 percent will be given by bank loan and the remaining 50 percent will be given by the government in the form of grant. Through this model, farmers can set up dairy units ranging from 2 cows to 25 cows. This will increase employment opportunities in rural areas and strengthen the economic condition of families.

Assistance up to Rs 80 thousand for two cows

Under the Chief Minister Swadeshi Cow-Promotion Scheme, special benefits are being given to small cattle farmers. If a farmer starts a dairy unit with two cows, he will be given a maximum grant of Rs 80 thousand. With this, even economically weak farmers will be able to join dairy business. Apart from this, the government is also giving incentive amount to the cattle farmers who rear high milk yielding cows of good breed. Under the Chief Minister Progressive Animal Husbandry Incentive Scheme, cash rewards ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 are being given to selected cattle rearers.

Government’s special emphasis on indigenous breeds

The focus of the Yogi government is on the conservation and promotion of indigenous breeds like Gir, Sahiwal and Gangatiri. These breeds are known for giving more milk as well as better quality. The government believes that with the increase of these breeds, milk production will increase and the income of farmers will also increase.
