After the initial investigation, the administration has heaved a sigh of relief, because there is no information about any employee or security personnel getting injured in this entire accident. Officials clarified that the fire was limited to only the generators on the outer part of the plant, away from the main premises.

After this sensitive incident, UAE’s Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) immediately issued an official statement allaying the concerns of the world. The regulator clarified that this drone attack and fire had no impact on the main safety system of the nuclear power plant or its essential systems. All important systems and units of the nuclear plant are working normally as usual.

The biggest relief is that no adverse effect of any kind has been seen on the Radiological Safety Level, that is, no nuclear radiation of any kind has spread there. The administration has made a special appeal to the general public and the media to rely only on information from official sources in this sensitive matter and avoid sharing any kind of rumor or unverified scary news on social media.
