PM Modi’s emphasis on stability, technology and shared prosperity, invites Europe to move forward with India
Knews Desk– Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the ‘European CEO Round Table’ organized in Gothenburg city of Sweden, emphasized on the strong economic and strategic partnership between India and Europe. He said that in today’s world full of uncertainties, India and Europe together can become strong pillars of stability, sustainability and shared prosperity. The Prime Minister also invited European companies and investors to join India’s development journey.
India becomes the world’s third largest startup ecosystem
In his address, PM Modi, while referring to India’s rapidly growing economy and startup culture, said that today India has become the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. He said that Indian startups are creating new solutions for the world in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, Space, Drones and Mobility.
The Prime Minister said, “India is moving forward with new energy and new confidence. Our young population, rapidly growing middle class and strong infrastructure are giving new impetus to the country’s economic progress.”
India-Europe partnership important amid global challenges

Prime Minister Modi said that at present the world is facing many challenges. Pressure on the supply chain is increasing, technological competition is intensifying and problems like climate change along with energy security are also at the forefront. At such a time, it has become very important for India and Europe to work together.
He said cooperation between the two sides is not limited to trade only, but is also important for global stability and economic balance. PM Modi said that relations between India and Europe have now reached a new and important juncture.
Fast work on India-EU Free Trade Agreement

PM Modi said that an agreement has been reached between India and the European Union regarding the Free Trade Agreement and both sides are working towards implementing it soon. He said that along with security and defense partnership, the ‘Mobility Agreement’ has given a new direction to the relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister said that the Government of India is continuously working on the mantra of “Reform, Perform and Transform”. In the last 12 years, the government has made many major economic and administrative reforms, the impact of which is now being seen by the world.
Sweden gave highest honor to PM Modi

During his visit to Sweden, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the country’s prestigious honor “Royal Order of Polar Star Commander Grand Cross”. It is Sweden’s highest honor given to a foreign head of state. The special thing is that this is the 31st international honor received by Prime Minister Modi.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and representatives of many big European companies were also present in this program. After completing the Sweden visit, Prime Minister Modi will now leave for Norway, which is the next leg of his five-nation tour.
