UDF government inaugurated in Kerala, VD Satheesan took oath along with 20 cabinet ministers, these 14 new faces got place

Keralam Swearing-in Ceremony of 20 Cabinet Ministers: A new government was inaugurated in Kerala today. VD Satheesan took the oath of office and secrecy as the new Chief Minister of Kerala today. Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar administered the oath of office to VD Satheesan as Chief Minister.

After a decade-long Left rule, Kerala witnessed a change of power on Monday. The 21-member UDF cabinet led by Congress leader VD Satheesan took oath as ministers along with 20 cabinet ministers at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram today. This time 14 new faces have been included in the new government of Kerala. These include 2 women and 2 ST category ministers. Of the 63 Congress MLAs, 12 have been included in the cabinet.

IUML’s PK Kunhalikutty took oath as minister. IUML MLA was elected from Malappuram seat. He has been MP from Malappuram twice. He has become MLA for the 9th time.
Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala took oath as minister. He has become MLA for the sixth time. Has been Lok Sabha MP 4 times. Has been the state president of Congress from 2005 to 2014. Oman has been the Home Minister in the Chandy government. He has been elected MLA from Haripad assembly seat.
K Muraleedharan, son of former Kerala CM K Karunakaran, took oath as minister. Elected as MLA from Vattiyoorkavu Assembly seat. Have won for the third time. Has been Lok Sabha MP 4 times. Has been a minister for three months in 2004.
State Congress President Sunny Joseph has been elected MLA from Peravur Assembly seat. He is an advocate and political activist by profession. Joined politics in the student wing of Congress.
Mons Joseph, a lawyer by profession, took oath as minister. He became Congress MLA from Kuduthuruthy seat. He has become MLA for the sixth time. Remained PWD Minister from 2007 to 2009.
Shibu Baby John took oath as minister. He is the former general secretary of the state’s Krantikari Samajwadi Party.
Anup Jacob took oath as minister. Politician and member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly and leader of the Kerala Congress legislative party, a constituent of the UDF political alliance.
CP John took oath as minister.
AP Anil Kumar took oath as minister. Entered politics from Kerala Students Union.
N Samsudheen from IUML took oath as minister.
PC Vishnunath took oath as minister. MLA has been elected from Kollam Assembly seat.
Congress’s Rosie M John took oath as minister. MLA has been elected from Angamaly (General) assembly seat.
Congress leader Bindu Krishna took oath as minister. Has been elected as MLA from Kollam Assembly seat.
Congress leader M Liju took oath as minister. He was elected MLA from Kayamkulam assembly seat.

Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will serve as the Speaker of the Assembly, while Shanimol Usman will serve as the Deputy Speaker.

Veteran Congress leaders were present during the swearing-in ceremony in Kerala. Many senior leaders including Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Congress MP KC Venugopal, Congress leaders Deepa Dasmunshi, Bhupesh Baghel, attended the swearing-in ceremony.
