Let us tell you that last 6 months ago, Madhu Devi, daughter of Lalan Sah, resident of Bagahi Nimiya Tola under Bairiya police station area, was married with Hindi customs in Sugauli under Lauria police station area. She was married to Dharmendra Sah, son of Manoj Sah, resident of Khekhariya Tola Ward No. 12, where Madhu Devi’s family had fulfilled the demands made in dowry at the time of marriage, despite this, for about two-two and a half months, Madhu Devi’s in-laws always harassed and beat her for dowry. Madhu Devi, who was pregnant for about four months, had come to her maternal home, where her husband Dharmendra Sah had come to her parents’ house for about a week. Earlier, they forcibly called her and took her away. The family members told that Dharmendra Sah again demanded a motorcycle in demand of dowry and threatened to kill Madhu Devi if she did not give the motorcycle. Hearing this, the family members became distraught. The family members assured them, whereas yesterday, on Sunday, May 17, at around 5 pm, Dharmendra Sah and his family murdered Madhu Devi and informed her family about the incident, where the family reached the information. Told that his daughter Madhu Devi was lying dead and all the in-laws fled from the spot. Information about the incident was given by the family members of the deceased to the local Lauria police station, where the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to Bettiah GMCH for post-mortem. On the same date, May 18, at around 11 am on Monday, the body was handed over to the family members after the post-mortem. Due to this incident, the family members of the deceased are in bad condition. Regarding the same matter, the local police has started investigating the entire incident. The family members of the deceased have appealed to the district administration for justice regarding this incident.
