CM Bhajan Lal reviewed water conservation campaigns, gave instructions to officials for time bound implementation

Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma made a detailed review of ‘Vande Ganga Water Conservation Public Campaign’, ‘Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari 2.0’ and ‘Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi’ campaign in the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence. During this, he gave necessary directions to the officers for effective, time bound and public participation based implementation of the campaigns.
In the meeting, the outline of various campaigns, departmental coordination and preparations up to the district level were reviewed in detail. The Chief Minister told the officials that issues like water conservation and environment promotion should not be limited to only government programs but should be given the form of a people’s movement.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma laid special emphasis on implementing water conservation, rain water harvesting and water saving measures on a large scale under ‘Vande Ganga Water Conservation Mass Campaign’. He said that conservation of water resources is very important for future generations and for this, participation of every section of the society is necessary.
The ‘Karmabhumi to Matribhoomi’ campaign was also discussed in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that it is important to connect the migrant Rajasthanis living outside the state with the development works of the state. He instructed the officials to make such efforts so that the migrant people can play an active role in the development of their village, city and state.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to complete all the campaigns effectively within the stipulated time. He also stressed on wide publicity to increase public awareness and ensure public participation.
Senior officials of various departments were present in the meeting and presented their suggestions for the successful conduct of the campaigns. The Chief Minister said that the objective of the government is not only to make schemes but also to implement them effectively on the ground, so that the common people can get direct benefits from them.
