Cockroach Party returned again on
New Delhi. Cockroach Janata Party is back on X again. Although it has changed its name, Cockroach Janata Party is still written in the DP. This time the account has been named ‘Cockroach is back’. Abhijeet Dipke, who calls himself the founder of Cockroach Janata Party, has himself posted about it. He has written in his post, ‘Follow now’. Currently two posts have been made from this account. Let us tell you that the Cockroach Janata Party account has been banned on X. A large number of followers had joined this account.

As soon as the account was created again on X, the cockroach party started taunting. In the first post, with the photo of ‘Cockroach is back’, it has been written – What did you think, you will get rid of us. In the second post, photos of screenshots of the accounts of BJP and Congress have been posted. In this photo, information about the numbers of social media accounts of both the parties has been given. It is written that after the rapidly increasing popularity and fan following of Cockroach Janata Party, this account has been closed.
It is noteworthy that a person named Abhijeet Dipke, resident of Pune, has started this party online. It describes itself on its website as ‘a party of the youth, by the youth, for the youth’ and its slogan is ‘secular, socialist, democratic, lazy’. The party’s online post humorously states that to become a member one must be ‘unemployed, online all the time, professionally annoying and lazy’. Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Deepke graduated in Journalism from Pune and later moved to the US to pursue a Masters in Public Relations from Boston University.
Let us tell you that amidst humor and satire, Cockroach Janata Party had also raised serious issues like youth unemployment, exam paper leak controversy, systemic transparency and political representation. The party has also said that it will soon organize a ‘Gen G’ virtual conference, where the youth will discuss policies and governance.
Apart from this, the manifesto of the Cockroach Janata Party published online demands a ban on all political posts for the Chief Justice after retirement, 50 percent reservation for women, freedom of media and a 20-year ban on turncoat politicians.
Social media users seem divided regarding Cockroach Janata Party. Some social media users have called it merely ‘meme politics’. Others say that this is the first time that a platform is speaking directly to the youth in their own language about their immediate concerns.
One user wrote that this is the first party in the country which at least understands the pain of the youth. Another social media user commented that politics has now become like Reddit and Instagram Reels. Yet many social media users described the Cockroach Janata Party as ‘the new face of Gen Z politics in India’.
