CJP creates panic on the internet: One comment of CJI and a new ‘party’ is formed, everyone from Anurag Kashyap to Urfi Javed joins.

An example of the power of social media and the unique style of protest of the youth (GenZ) has come to light, which has created a stir in the legal and political corridors of the country. These days, a witty and sarcastic political organization named ‘Cockroach Janta Party’ (CJP) has created a stir on the internet and social media platforms. Actually, this whole matter started when the Chief Justice of the country (CJI) Surya Kant had allegedly compared unemployed youth to ‘cockroaches’. The youth of the country were disgusted by this insult, but instead of creating ruckus on the streets, they started this unique digital movement on the internet, which has now turned into a big viral movement. 14 million followers on Instagram in just 5 days, Bollywood also became a fan. This virtual party (CJP), launched on May 16 by digital commentator and social media influencer Abhijeet Dipke, has broken all the old records of popularity. Within no time, the number of followers on the official Instagram page of Cockroach Janata Party has crossed 14 million (1.4 crore). This interesting movement talking about the rights of youth has also attracted the attention of big celebrities and film personalities of the country. Those who follow this page include Bollywood celebrities like famous filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, actress Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Esha Gupta. Apart from this, famous names from the world of TV and social media like Umar Riaz, Abhishek Nigam, Urfi Javed, Nagma Mirajkar, Purav Jha, Shafaq Naz, Sheezan Khan, comedian Kunal Kamra and Raunak Rajni as well as Punjabi singer-actress Himanshi Khurana are also actively following this ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ on social media. Anger turned into a weapon: 2 lakh registered members joined in 3 days. This entire controversy started with the Chief Justice’s comment, on which later, amidst all-round pressure, he gave his clarification and also apologized. But internet users and the youth of the country did not let this issue rest here. He turned this insult into a positive and impactful campaign. Within just three days, more than 2 lakh youth took primary membership of this party through a viral Google Form issued by the party. This movement is no longer limited to Instagram or X (earlier Twitter), but in some parts of the country, groups of youth have started social service and activities of this movement at the grassroots level.

"secular, socialist, democratic and lazy" Cockroach Janata Party’s unique manifesto of the party, in a humorous tone "secular, socialist, democratic and lazy" Has declared. This party may have started as a joke or satire, but in its ‘Manifesto’ issued by the Chief Judicial Council, some very serious and strong demands have been raised to improve the system of the country, which are as follows: Ban on politics of judges: There should be a complete ban on giving Rajya Sabha seats or any government post to Chief Justices and judges immediately after their retirement. Rights of women in Parliament: Without increasing the total number of seats in both the Houses of Parliament, direct 50 percent reservation for women should be implemented compulsorily. Crackdown on defector leaders: A strict ban should be imposed on MLAs and MPs who leave their party and join another party (defection) from contesting any type of election for 20 years. Environmentalists and political analysts believe that the rise of ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ is a clear indication that the youth of the country are now bored with traditional politics and are taking the help of modern digital tools and satire to present their problems and rights to the world.
