DCP’s wife died under suspicious circumstances seven months after marriage, there was a mark on her neck, police seized the scarf.

Geeta Thakur, who was married last year, died under suspicious circumstances in Mandawali area of ​​East Delhi. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and started interrogating husband Rakesh Kumar, marks of noose have been found on the neck and a scarf has been recovered.

A 38-year-old woman died under suspicious circumstances on Thursday morning in West Vinod Nagar area of ​​East Delhi. The police have described it as a case of possible suicide and have started investigating the entire matter. After the incident, sensation spread in the area and the police team immediately reached the spot. The deceased has been identified as Geeta Thakur, who was the wife of Rakesh Kumar. Rakesh Kumar is working as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Eastern District. According to the police, Rajiv Kumar has given this information in a statement.

Police got information about this incident through a PCR call. This call was received at Mandavali police station at around 9.50 am. Station house officer, investigation officer, police personnel and crime and forensic team also reached the spot.

According to the police, during the investigation, the crime team found marks of a noose on the woman’s neck. A scarf has also been recovered from the spot, which has been confiscated for investigation. Police say that this scarf may have been used in the incident. The recovered material will now be sent to Forensic Science Laboratory i.e. FSL, so that the truth can be ascertained through scientific investigation.

At present it is not clear whether it is suicide or there could be some other reason behind it. The investigating agencies are now waiting for the post mortem report and FSL report, after which further action will be decided.
