Big news for electricity employees in UP, holidays canceled in 16 districts!

Lucknow. The Electricity Department has taken a big decision to maintain the smooth functioning of the electricity system amid the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh. Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam has canceled the leaves of electricity employees and officers in many districts. The objective of the department is to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers during times of increasing power demand.

Holidays will be canceled till 31st July

According to the order issued by the Electricity Department, the leaves of employees in 19 districts under Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam have been canceled with immediate effect. Not only this, the employees who were already on leave have also been instructed to return to duty.

Decision due to extreme heat

At present, due to intense heat and continuously increasing temperature in the state, there is a huge increase in electricity consumption. The temperature has reached record levels in many districts. In such a situation, the electricity department wants to avoid any kind of negligence so that people do not have to face the problem of power cuts.

Order implemented in these districts

The districts where holidays have been canceled by the department include Lucknow, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Hardoi, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ambedkarnagar, Sultanpur, Gonda, Shravasti, Balrampur, Amethi, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Badaun and Pilibhit. Instructions have been issued to the Chief Engineers of all these districts asking them to immediately cancel the leaves of the employees.

Leave will be given only when necessary

The department has clarified that if any employee or officer requires leave under special circumstances, he will have to apply as per the prescribed procedure. Leave applications from Subdivision Officer level to Engineers will be sent to higher level through Executive Engineer and Chief Engineer. Leave will be granted only after final approval.

If you go on leave without notice, action will be taken

The electricity department has warned that strict action will be taken against employees going on leave without permission or notice. The department says that maintaining power supply is the biggest priority during this summer season.

Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam says that in view of the continuously increasing electricity demand in the state, presence of employees at the field level is necessary. Employees have been put on alert mode to immediately resolve problems like transformer failure, line fault or overloading.
