Today’s weather: Alert of stormy rain in 14 states, winds will blow at the speed of 70, explosive entry of pre-monsoon!

Today Weather Forecast: At present, two big and opposite movements are being seen simultaneously in the weather of India. On one hand, the plains of North India are scorching in the heat of the sun, while on the other hand, the sound of pre-monsoon has raised alarm bells for 14 states.

The Meteorological Department has issued a major update, warning of gale force winds with a speed of up to 70 kilometers per hour and rain with thunderstorms within the next 12 hours.

Alert of stormy winds in 14 states

The next 12 hours are going to be very sensitive in terms of weather in a large part of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, pre-monsoon has arrived, due to which the shadow of storm is looming in 14 states. During this period, not only will there be strong winds, but there is also a strong possibility of lightning in many areas. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India for the next few days. Along with this, conditions have now become completely favorable for further advance of Monsoon into the South-East Arabian Sea and remaining parts of the Bay of Bengal.

Scorching heat in Delhi and UP

While on one hand there is a rain alert, on the other hand the country’s capital Delhi and neighboring state Uttar Pradesh are currently in the grip of severe heat wave. The temperature is predicted to reach 46 degrees Celsius in Delhi for the next three days, where hot winds blowing at speeds of up to 45 km/hour will make it difficult for people to leave their homes. Not only this, till May 24, Delhiites will have to face ‘hot nights’ , which means there will be no significant drop in the temperature even at night. The situation is even more serious in Uttar Pradesh, where Banda district has become the hottest place in the country at 48 degrees Celsius. In cities like Lucknow, Prayagraj and Varanasi, the temperature is expected to be around 45 degrees.

Rain alert on mountains

Amidst the heat of North India, relief news is coming from the hill states and Bihar. An alert of thunderstorm and rain has been issued for the next three days in Bihar, where the wind speed can range from 50 to 70 kilometers per hour. There is a possibility of thunderstorm along with heat in Patna, while in Purnia and Muzaffarpur, rain with thunder will provide relief to the people from the heat.

At the same time, the view on the mountains of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh is going to change completely. There is a possibility of light rain and hailstorm in Dehradun, Nainital and Shimla, while there is an alert of thunderstorm and lightning in Manali. In Jammu and Kashmir also, stormy winds at a speed of 70 km/hr and rain are expected for the next two days.

Monsoon movement increased in Arabian Sea

Amidst all these seasonal changes, the biggest news is about monsoon. The Meteorological Department has confirmed that the monsoon will strengthen its grip over the remaining parts of the southeast Arabian Sea and Andaman Sea in the next 3-4 days. Pre-monsoon rain activities have already increased over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and southern parts of Karnataka.
