Twisha Sharma Death Case: Court rejected the demand for re-postmortem, but kept this very strict condition regarding the dead body.

Twisha Sharma Death Case:A new and very important twist has emerged in the much talked about Twisha Sharma death case of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal District Court has completely rejected the petition for re-postmortem filed by the victim’s family. This means that now Twisha’s body will not be legally post-mortemed again. However, giving relief to the family, the court has allowed his body to be kept at a safe place in Madhya Pradesh.

The court has set a very difficult and specific condition for this that wherever Twisha’s body will be stored, the temperature must be -80 degrees Celsius. Along with this, the court has also made it clear that the body of the deceased will not be allowed to be taken outside the geographical limits of Madhya Pradesh under any circumstances.

Katara Hills incident: A mystery entangled in claims of murder and suicide

This whole matter is of Katara Hills area, a posh area of Bhopal, where on the night of 12th May, the body of Twisha Sharma was found in a suspicious condition inside her own house. Since this incident, the parents of the deceased have been continuously calling it a premeditated murder, while on the other hand, the in-laws have been claiming from the beginning that it is completely a case of suicide. The police are strictly investigating this high-profile case and are trying to connect all possible links.

During the investigation, the police got hold of some very sensitive WhatsApp chats, in which Twisha Sharma had told her family several times before her death that her in-laws were torturing her mentally and physically. Taking this chat as the main basis, the family had appealed to the court for re-postmortem for fairness.

National Women’s Commission is strict, sought report from Chief Secretary and DGP

Meanwhile, considering the seriousness of the matter and the demand for fair justice rising on social media, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognizance of it. Women Commission has sent a very strict letter in this regard to Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Anurag Jain and DGP Kailash Makwana. The Commission has clearly given instructions that this matter should be investigated in a completely impartial, prompt and time bound manner.

The Commission has given only 7 days time to the police and administration to submit a detailed ‘Action Taken Report’ (ATR). In this report, the Commission has sought a complete progress report of the sections added to the FIR so far, efforts to arrest the accused husband Samarth, the status of impounding (confiscation) of his passport, CCTV footage around the incident site, call records and evidence obtained from the forensic lab. Along with this, the Commission has instructed the police to provide complete protection to the victim’s family from any kind of external threat or administrative pressure.

Problems of father-in-law and mother-in-law increased, demand for removal from constitutional post

Twisha’s family has taken another major administrative step in this fight for justice. The family members have written an official letter to His Excellency the Governor of Madhya Pradesh demanding the immediate dismissal of Twisha’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh from her current constitutional post. The family members argue that since a criminal case has been registered against Giribala Singh under very serious and non-bailable sections like Dowry Death, his continuing to hold any dignified constitutional post is completely against the principles of justice system and propriety.

Let us tell you that currently Giribala Singh is working as the Chairperson of Bench-2 of Bhopal District Consumer Forum (District Consumer Commission).

Mother-in-law has been a judge, husband Samarth Singh is still away from the police.

In the letter sent to the Governor, the family has clearly cited the rules and mentioned that if serious misconduct or serious criminal allegations are made against a person holding an administrative or judicial position, then there is a clear legal provision to remove him from the post. It is noteworthy that the accused mother-in-law Giribala Singh is very knowledgeable about legal matters and she has also served on the senior post of Principal District and Sessions Judge in Bhopal. After retiring from this post, he was given the responsibility of Consumer Commission.

In this entire matter, the police took immediate action and registered a case against the deceased’s husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh, but even after so many days of the incident, the main accused, husband Samarth Singh, is still absconding. Many police teams are raiding in search of him, while the victim’s family is adamant on demanding a fair investigation into the case and without any VIP pressure.
