Why was Toxic shot in English along with Kannada? Rocking star Yash now told the reason

Yash on Toxic: Rocking Star Yash’s film Toxic is one of the much-awaited films of the year 2026. Ever since the teaser of the film was released, fans are eagerly waiting for it. However, the release of the film has been postponed and now fans have to wait longer. Meanwhile, Yash has now explained why the film was shot simultaneously in English and Kannada.

Why was Toxic shot simultaneously in two languages?

Recently Yash did an interview with Variety. During this, he told that Toxic was designed to connect with the audience around the world. Talking about the global target of the film, Yash said that Toxic was shot simultaneously in English and Kannada so that the international audience could experience the story without the language barrier. Yash told that the team of Toxic wanted the film to be universal in its story and at the same time maintain its emotional authenticity.

Subtitles were a big reason

Putting forward his point, actor Yash said- ‘People all over the world are waiting to see good cinema, it does not matter where it comes from. We wanted Toxic to be treated like a global film, while also being connected to Indian emotions and culture. That’s why we shot it simultaneously in English, so that audiences around the world could experience it organically, without the interruption of subtitles. But the focus was always on making the performance look natural and authentic, not staged.

Release of the film postponed again and again

Let us tell you, initially Toxic was to be released on 19 March 2026. Then the release of the film was extended to June 4. But after this the release was postponed again. At last, Yash had written a long post on social media Instagram about the postponement of Toxic. He had said- ‘Some films we make, and some films remind us why we fell in love with cinema. ‘Toxic’ has also been one such journey. Presenting our film at CinemaCon and seeing the tremendous response from around the world further confirms what we have always believed that this film deserves to reach its full potential around the world.

Work is being done on distribution and partnership

It was further written in the post – ‘Toxic is now complete and we are currently finalizing its global distribution and partnerships. Keeping this in mind, we have decided to reschedule our release. However, as mentioned earlier, we will not release it on June 4. Instead, we will release it later on a worldwide date. ‘Toxic’ will soon hit theaters across the world.

The star cast of the film is amazing

The star cast of Toxic is amazing. In this, Kiara Advani-Nadia, Huma Qureshi-Elizabeth, Nayanthara-Ganga, Tara Sutaria-Rebecca, while Rukmini will be seen in the role of Vasant-Melissa. The story of the film has been written jointly by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and it has also been directed by Geetu Mohandas. Now, no update has come regarding when this film will be released.
