Ishan Kishan Lights Up Hyderabad as SRH Set RCB 256 to Win

A heroic knock from Ishan Kishan has set up Sunrisers Hyderabad to post 255/4 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2026 game played on Friday.

His 79 runs off 46 deliveries, along with fifties from Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen, set up one of the highest team scores in IPL history.

After choosing to bat first, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.

The duo made a decent start, scoring 45 runs for the 1st wicket. Rasikh Salam bagged the wicket of Travis Head for 26 runs on a brilliant yorker.

With Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma at the crease, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 63 runs in the power play. He smashed a 20-ball fifty and scored 56 runs before being dismissed by Suyash Sharma. He got dismissed on a googly, but missed the timing, and Jordan Cox bagged the catch.

Heinrich Klaasen came to bat at No.4 joined Ishan Kishan as the side aiming to post a massive total on Friday’s clash.

Ishan Kishan smashed his fifty off 31 deliveries as the side crossed the 200-run mark in the 16th over. Heinrich Klaasen smashed his fifty in 23 deliveries.

The duo forged a 113-run partnership for the third wicket before Krunal Pandya bagged the wicket of Heinrich Klaasen for 51 runs. He got dismissed on a catch from Venkatesh Iyer on a mid-wicket.

With Nitish Reddy joining Ishan Kishan at the crease, the duo maximised the death overs as the side scored 255/4 at Hyderabad.

Ishan Kishan scored 79 runs while Nitish Reddy contributed 29* runs. Rasikh Salam bagged two wickets while Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya bagged one wicket each.
