Government update on Petrol and Diesel: The Central Government has once again appealed to the people not to make panic purchases of petrol, diesel and LPG. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said on Friday that there is adequate availability of petrol and diesel across the country and the supply system is completely stable. The ministry clarified that temporary pressure has been observed at some petrol pumps, but oil marketing companies are managing the situation through continuous supply monitoring and coordinated distribution.
Posting on social media platform X, the ministry said that citizens should buy fuel only as per their needs and avoid panic buying. The ministry said responsible consumption and public cooperation will help ensure smooth availability of fuel for all in the current high demand period.
Adequate stock of fuel at petrol pumps
Earlier on Thursday, the government had said that all petrol pumps in the country petrol and diesel Adequate stock is available. The government advised people to avoid unnecessary purchases of petrol, diesel and LPG and said that every possible effort is being made to maintain the supply. The government said in a regular press briefing that people should be wary of rumors and rely only on official sources for correct information. Delivery of 1.34 crore cylinders in three days
According to the ministry, around 1.34 crore LPG cylinders were delivered in the last three days against around 1.32 crore bookings. On Wednesday alone, 47.51 lakh cylinders were delivered to consumers against about 45.36 lakh bookings. The government said that in the last three days, about 1.87 lakh 5 kg FTL cylinders have also been sold. At the same time, about 7.64 lakh PNG connections have been activated since March and infrastructure has been prepared for additional 2.81 lakh connections. In this way a total of 10.45 lakh PNG connections have been extended.

Apart from this, about 7.99 lakh new customers have also registered for gas connection. The ministry says that despite the ever-increasing demand, the supply system remains strong and there is no need for people to panic.
