SRH secure big win but RCB top the table

Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their last league match of the IPL 2026, but it was the defending champions who topped the standings. Despite falling short by 55 runs, RCB will compete against the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 of the 19th season. Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan scored fifties and took the score to 255. They had to restrict Bengaluru to 166 or below for a chance to finish among the top two. Rajat Patidar (56) and Krunal (41*) tried their best, but RCB finished the league with a defeat.

The top three teams, RCB, Gujarat Titans and SRH, finished on 18 points each, and the top three spots were decided on the basis of the net run rate.
