After this he started sending objectionable videos and pictures to her through WhatsApp.

The accused confessed his crime

During this, the team of Oshiwara police station’s senior inspector Sanjay Chauhan, cyber cell in-charge Sharad Devde and constable Ashok Conde reached the accused through technical investigation. During interrogation by the police, the accused confessed to his crime and said that he had done a similar act with another actress, whose name is also said to be Poonam.

Along with this, the accused also confessed that after sending the video, he had removed WhatsApp from his mobile phone so that he would not be caught. Actress Poonam Dasgupta said in her complaint that on April 27, obscene videos and nude pictures were suddenly sent to her on WhatsApp. Shocked by this incident, the actress immediately tried to contact that number, but received no response. Later she blocked the number of the accused and informed her husband about the entire incident.

Two days later, on April 29, the actress reached Oshiwara Police Station and lodged a formal complaint and after receiving the complaint, the police took the matter seriously and started a cyber investigation, after which the accused was finally arrested. At present, the police is investigating to which other women the obscene messages and videos have been sent by the accused.
