RCB vs GT: If Qualifier-1 is canceled due to rain, then who will get entry in the final of IPL 2026? Know the complete equation

RCB vs GT Qualifier-1: The league stage matches of the Indian Premier League 2026 are over. Now the thrill of the playoffs will begin. Qualifier-1 match will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans on 26th May at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala. This match will be played from 7:30 pm. Whereas the toss will take place at 7 o’clock. Meanwhile, this question must be arising in the minds of the fans that if the Qualifier-1 of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Titans gets canceled due to rain, then which team will reach the playoffs.

What if RCB vs GT match is canceled due to rain?

No reserve day has been kept for the playoff match of IPL 2026. It wasn’t there last season either. Reserve day has been kept only for the final match. In such a situation, if the Qualifier-1, Eliminator and Qualifier-2 matches are washed out or there is a tie, then a Super Over will be conducted to decide the winner. If the first super over is also tried then the second and third super overs will also be tried until the result is declared.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will benefit

If it is not possible to conduct a super over due to rain or any other reason, then the points table of the league stage will decide the winning team. In such a situation, that team will be considered the winner, whose points are more than the other team in the league stage. That means, if the match is canceled due to rain, then Royal Challengers Bangalore will be declared the winner and will directly reach the finals, because RCB is on top in the points table. After this, Gujarat Titans will again have to play Qualifier-2.
