‘India is paying the price of friendship…’ When Trump called PM Modi a true friend, then expert Brahma Chellaney exposed the truth.

US President Donald Trump has once again openly expressed his friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Trump described PM Modi as his great friend and declared himself his biggest fan. Trump even said that India can trust him 100 percent. But, amid this loving statement of Trump, the country’s well-known geopolitical expert Brahma Chellani has made a claim which has shocked everyone. Chellani believes that Trump calling PM Modi his friend is actually proving to be a loss-making deal for India.

Is India paying a heavy price for Trump’s friendship?

Expert Brahma Chellaney has shared a scathing post on social media platform ‘X’ (earlier Twitter). He wrote in clear words that ever since Donald Trump returned to power in America, he has been just making excuses for his alleged friendship with PM Modi. According to Chellani, under the guise of this friendship, Trump has repeatedly insulted India and tried to put undue pressure on it. He warned that due to this attitude of Trump, the bilateral relations between India and America, which were once very strong, are now gradually weakening. In such a situation, Trump again calling himself a friend and big fan of Modi could be part of a well-thought-out strategy.

A big threat is looming over the Quad organization

Along with this, Brahma Chellaney has also expressed a big concern about ‘Quad’, the strategic group of India, America, Japan and Australia. He said that any international alliance does not become useless only if it breaks completely, but they can also gradually become just a sham institution. According to Chellani, such organizations only hold meetings from time to time, issue big press notes and give a hollow show of unity to the world, while internally their main strategic objective is completely defeated. He warned that today a similar threat is facing the Quad organization.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s big statement in India

This entire controversy has heated up at a time when US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is on an official visit to India. On Monday, Rubio outright rejected all allegations of increasing anti-India statements and actions in America. He assured India that President Donald Trump is a big fan of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so there is no need to worry.

This clarifying statement of Rubio comes after the controversy, which started when the video of his reaction to a journalist’s question went viral on Sunday. In that video, the journalist had asked Rubio a question about the alleged racism and discrimination increasing against Indians in America, on which Rubio’s answer had sparked controversy. Now it has to be seen what turn India-America relations take in the coming days between this ‘friendship’ of Trump and these claims of experts.
