J&K: Technical fault in ropeway in Gulmarg, passengers stuck in the air, Army is taking them down with the help of rope.

J&K: Tourists enjoying tourism in the valleys of Jammu and Kashmir faced a big problem when there was a technical fault in the ropeway in Gulmarg. A major accident was averted on Monday (May 25) at Gulmarg Gondola, a famous tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir. Actually, there was a sudden technical fault in the Gondola Cable Car (Ropeway) service, due to which about 300 tourists got trapped in the cable car compartments in the air. After the incident, there was chaos at the spot and an atmosphere of fear was created among the tourists. Many people remained stuck at high altitude for a long time, due to which panic increased among women and children. Many videos and pictures of this incident have also surfaced.

rescue operation
As soon as information about the incident was received, a joint team of 9 Raj Rifles of the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and civil administration reached the spot. The rescue team immediately started the rescue operation and the work of bringing down the stranded tourists safely was started. The SDM and Tehsildar of Tangmarg are also monitoring the relief work.

After the incident, a team of technical experts was also called to the spot. The team is investigating the cause of the glitch in the Gondola service. Also, the process of restarting the service has also been started.

Gulmarg Ropeway
One of the highest and longest cable car systems in the world. It connects Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir to Afravat Peak. It has a total of 108 cabin cars. Six people can sit in a cable car at a time.
